I’ve booked myself a deep tissue this weekend. Is it OK to have a massage directly after a workout session or should you wait a while? (I’ll obviously shower first! )
Yes Massage is great after a workout as it will release happy endorphins, as well as getting fresh blood, oxygen and nutrients to the worked out muscles. So definitely the right way round. Then I would have a rest day the next day. Always great to shower before a treatment to warm up the muscles too
Thanks Jonathan! I wasn’t aware a rest day the following day was advisable, I probably would have done another workout and undone all the therapist’s hard work! An excuse for a lie in on Sunday - cheers!
